Effective date: 22 July 2026 Version: 2.0

1. About this Policy

AquaNetica respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects members to do the same. This Policy explains how to tell us about content on the platform that you believe infringes your rights, and what happens after you do.

In this Policy, “AquaNetica”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean AquaNetica Pty Ltd of Level 4, 114 William Street, Melbourne VIC 3000, Australia.

This Policy forms part of our Terms of Service.

2. What this Policy covers

This Policy applies to content on the platform, including member posts and comments, profile content, marketplace listings, job posts, resource library material, images, files, and documents in the AquaNetica IQ document library.

It covers claims of copyright infringement, trade mark infringement, and unauthorised use of confidential or proprietary material.

3. Your obligations as a member

3.1 You must not post, upload or share content unless you own it or have the right to use it in that way.

3.2 This includes technical manuals, standards, datasheets, engineering drawings, specifications, research papers, images and photographs, and any material subject to a licence, a confidentiality obligation or a tender process.

3.3 Attribution is not a substitute for permission. Naming the author does not give you the right to reproduce their work.

3.4 You are responsible for content you post, and you indemnify us in respect of it under clause 16 of our Terms of Service.

4. Making a takedown request

If you believe content on the platform infringes your rights, email info@aquanetica.com with the subject line “Takedown request”, and include:

(a) your name, organisation, postal address, email address and telephone number;

(b) a description of the work or right you say has been infringed, and evidence that you own it or are authorised to act for the owner;

(c) the location of the content on the platform, by URL or by enough detail for us to find it;

(d) a description of how the content infringes your rights;

(e) a statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorised by the rights holder, its agent or the law;

(f) a statement that the information in your request is accurate; and

(g) your signature, electronic or physical.

Incomplete requests may delay our response. We may ask you for more information.

5. What we do with a request

5.1 We will acknowledge your request within a reasonable period.

5.2 We may remove or disable access to the content while we assess the request. Doing so is not an admission that the content infringes, and not doing so is not a finding that it does not.

5.3 We will notify the member who posted the content, and give them a copy of your request including your identity, unless we are prevented from doing so by law. Do not send us information in a takedown request that you are not willing to have passed on.

5.4 We are not a court and we do not adjudicate ownership. Where a claim is contested and not obviously resolvable, we may leave the content offline until the parties resolve it between themselves, or restore it, at our discretion.

6. Counter-notice

If your content was removed and you believe that was wrong, email info@aquanetica.com with the subject line “Counter-notice”, and include:

(a) your name, address, email address and telephone number;

(b) identification of the content that was removed and where it was;

(c) a statement of why you believe it was removed in error, including evidence of your right to use it;

(d) a statement that the information in your counter-notice is accurate; and

(e) your signature, electronic or physical.

We will pass your counter-notice, including your identity, to the party who made the original request, unless we are prevented from doing so by law. We may restore the content if we consider it appropriate to do so.

7. Repeat infringement

We may suspend or terminate the account of any member who repeatedly posts infringing content, and may do so immediately where the infringement is serious or deliberate.

8. The AquaNetica IQ document library

8.1 The AquaNetica IQ document library contains technical and industry documentation. Where AquaNetica IQ draws on that material, it produces summaries and short extracts in response to a member’s question rather than reproducing works in full.

8.2 If you are a publisher, author or rights holder and you believe material of yours is in the library without authorisation, or you wish it removed, contact us at info@aquanetica.com using the process in clause 4. We will remove it on request from the rights holder without requiring you to establish infringement.

8.3 If you would like your technical documentation included in the library, contact us at info@aquanetica.com.

9. Trade marks

If you believe a member is using your trade mark in a way that infringes your rights or is likely to mislead, follow the process in clause 4, identifying the mark, its registration details if any, and the use you object to.

10. Misuse of this process

Making a takedown request or counter-notice that you know to be false may expose you to liability. We may decline to act on requests we reasonably consider to be made in bad faith, including requests made to suppress criticism, competition or lawful comment.

11. Content that is not an intellectual property issue

For content that breaches our Community Guidelines, for defamation, for privacy complaints, or for confidential information posted without permission, use the reporting process in our Community Guidelines rather than this Policy. Email info@aquanetica.com if you are unsure which applies.

12. Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time. Changes take effect from the stated effective date.
