About
Ben Pohlner is an aquaculture and environmental consultant with nearly 20 years of experience supporting aquaculture projects across Australia and internationally.
Through Ben Pohlner Consulting, he has worked with almost 60 aquaculture operations in Queensland, as well as projects in the Northern Territory, Western Australia and overseas. His services include aquaculture licensing and approvals, due diligence, feasibility studies, financial modelling, business planning, farm and hatchery design, aquaponics, environmental monitoring, auditing and regulatory documentation.
Ben also brings hands-on operational experience, having managed large-scale pond and RAS farms, hatcheries, seafood processing facilities, research operations and Indigenous aquaculture projects. In addition to aquaculture, he has extensive experience in environmental consulting and the water industry.
