1. About AquaIQ
AquaIQ is an artificial intelligence knowledge assistant within the AquaNetica platform. It generates responses to your questions using AI models together with selected aquaculture reference materials. AquaIQ is operated by AquaNetica Pty Ltd (“AquaNetica”, “we”, “us”, “our”) as part of the Services.
These AquaIQ Terms are in addition to, and form part of, the AquaNetica Terms of Service. By using AquaIQ you agree to these AquaIQ Terms.
2. AquaIQ is an information tool, not professional advice
AquaIQ provides general information only. It does not provide professional advice and must not be relied on as a substitute for it. AquaIQ outputs are not, and must not be treated as, veterinary, animal health, biosecurity, engineering, water chemistry, environmental, scientific, financial, investment, taxation, safety or legal advice.
Before acting on anything AquaIQ produces, you must obtain advice from a suitably qualified professional who has assessed your specific circumstances. Do not rely on AquaIQ for any decision affecting animal health or welfare, human health or safety, water quality, system design, biosecurity, environmental compliance, chemical or feed use, or regulatory obligations, and never in an emergency.
3. Limitations of AI generated content
You acknowledge that:
(a) AI generated content can be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, misleading or wrong, and may present incorrect information as if it were correct;
(b) AquaIQ does not understand your operation and cannot account for local conditions, species, equipment, regulations or risks;
(c) the same question can produce different answers, and outputs are not reviewed by a human before you receive them; and
(d) you are solely responsible for evaluating and independently verifying any output before relying on or acting on it.
4. Your inputs
4.1 You are responsible for the prompts and information you submit to AquaIQ. Do not submit unlawful, infringing or harmful content, confidential information you are not permitted to disclose, or personal information about other people.
4.2 Your prompts may be processed by us and by third party AI technology providers to generate and improve responses, as described in our Privacy Policy and Data Policy. Do not submit anything to AquaIQ that you would not want processed in this way.
5. Acceptable use of AquaIQ
You must not use AquaIQ to:
(a) generate or facilitate unlawful, harmful, deceptive or infringing content;
(b) attempt to extract, copy or reverse engineer the underlying models, prompts, data or systems;
(c) probe, attack or circumvent any safeguards, rate limits or restrictions;
(d) generate content that you then present as professional advice to others without your own qualified review; or
(e) use outputs in a way that breaches the AquaNetica Terms of Service, our Community Guidelines or any law.
6. Outputs and intellectual property
Subject to these AquaIQ Terms and the AquaNetica Terms of Service, and to the extent we are able to grant it, you may use AquaIQ outputs for your internal business purposes. Outputs are generated automatically and may be similar to outputs provided to other users. We make no representation that outputs are original, accurate or non infringing, and you are responsible for how you use them.
7. Third party AI technology
AquaIQ relies on third party AI technology. The availability, behaviour and performance of AquaIQ depend on those third parties, and may change or be interrupted. We are not responsible for third party systems beyond our reasonable control.
8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
8.1 Nothing in these AquaIQ Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee or right under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
8.2 Subject to clause 8.1, AquaIQ is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, and to the maximum extent permitted by law we exclude all warranties about its accuracy, reliability, fitness for purpose and availability.
8.3 Subject to clause 8.1, to the maximum extent permitted by law, AquaNetica Pty Ltd and its personnel are not liable for any loss, damage, cost or claim arising from your use of, or reliance on, AquaIQ or its outputs, including any loss of stock, production, profit, revenue or data, or any harm to animals, people, equipment or the environment. The limitation of liability in the AquaNetica Terms of Service also applies to AquaIQ.
8.4 You indemnify us against loss or claims arising from your use of AquaIQ in breach of these AquaIQ Terms or any law.
9. Changes
We may change, suspend or withdraw AquaIQ or these AquaIQ Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified through the Services. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept them.
